Royalty Redefined Vintage Long Kimono
Deep purple silk vintage long kimono with gold and white embroidered and embossed shibori clouds. In ancient Japan, purple was a color reserved for the elite, particularly the Imperial family and high-ranking officials. This was due to the rarity and cost of producing purple dye, which was labor-intensive, making purple textiles extremely valuable. After the 1600's, advances in dyeing techniques allowed more availability for others to wear purple, but it remains a symbol of nobility, power, and spirituality. The deepest of purples, this kimono has intricate floating clouds in white shibori with embossed white and gold details. Please note that this traditional kimono style is long in length. With this kimono I suggest that you do not alter the length at the bottom, some of the cloud design will be lost. Lined in white silk, this kimono will come with a contrasting obijime cord. It is a decorative woven cord used to secure the kimono closed and add an ornamental touch.
Style Tip: We are all royalty; wear your vintage Adorn Me kimono accordingly.

A vintage kimono has often been tailored to the individual wearer. The width and length of all kimono styles will vary. I have sized the collection as Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. Please view the sizing chart for detailed information, I will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Kimono lengths are traditionally very long. A traditional kimono is worn by folding and tucking the length to suit the wearer. Your kimono can be custom altered for length by the tailor of your choice.
Please note that due to the nature of vintage clothing, each piece may possess its own unique charm, including slight imperfections, variations in color, and signs of wear. These characteristics contribute to the authenticity and vintage appeal of the garment.
